Confessions of a Craigslist Whore |
Work comes and goes, and thanks to Craigslist, I'm able to find temp work without the help of an agency. Now if only I could choose the individuals that interview me along the way, that'd be fabulous b/c I've met quite a few characters. And now, here are my confessions and memoirs. |
Writing cover letters can be SUCH a pain in the arse, but it’s something that must be done.
I actually found a rad post about a job at Gofobo on Craigslist today. I just got through sending them my CV + Resume.
Hopefully, I’ll hear back from them soon, and if not, then the search continues!
Here’s to a new week!

P.S. How is your job search going? If you’re searching that is…
Why is it so hard to find full time work these days? That’s all I’m asking for. I apply for so many jobs a day, do follow ups, go on interviews, and still have not caught a winner. It makes me wonder is something is wrong with me, or if I’m not qualified enough, or over-qualified for the job…? I don’t know. I just know that if I don’t find something by mid-March. I will be venturing off elsewhere.
So…c’mon on employment agencies and employers…let me win you over so you can start writing me paychecks already, por favores!?
Sincerely,
Ineedsomemoore….work. :) xo.
I always said I wanted a sugardaddy, but to be someone’s sugarbaby? I say, goddamn!! I can’t do that, but I do wonder how much they’ll compensate in return for my company, eh? ;)
Every time I see this ad for escorts, I am slightly tempted to apply, but never do.
I just have way too much respect for myself, and don’t want to know all that an escort has to do.
I auditioned last year, but apparently did not make the cut if they’re already filming for Season 2. I don’t think I was animated enough for them. Twas all my fault anyways, I mean, I spent the whole weekend at a festival and wasn’t really sober for it, so waking up on Monday, and making the journey all the way over to Glendale to audition was a mission. The girls that were there were oh-so perky too. It almost made me want to vomit, or realize how un-prissy and girly I am. I can be energetic and animated when I’m more rested. I vibe off of others, but that afternoon was way different. Twas my first audition after all. I’m also not a fan of blind dates, so who knows who they would’ve tried to set me up with. Tis cool, I like to think they didn’t choose me because they couldn’t find anyone that would be considered, “my type.” Then again, they usually don’t choose your type, if they did, they’d end up shooting an episode that’d be too good to be true vs ugh, I can’t stand to be around you.
If any of you would like to audition though, def give it a go! You’ll spend about 5 mins answering questions and talking to a camera.
Also, make sure you get a lot of rest the night before, or a least don’t go out for three days straight before trying out. That’s what I did…and boy do I wish that I went with my instinct to drink a 5 hour energy beforehand, then again…I am happy to not be in rerun hell on the television. Mhm.
I like Yelp, and if you’ll pay me to write a review, then why the heck not give it a try?
I just might give this a go. What’s the worst that can happen?
They don’t choose me…?
Tis cool.
As long as they pay me if I do, then it’s all good.
And I mean in cash, not greens.
Craigslist, is a online site that provides local classifieds for housing, jobs, gigs, personnels and etc. Many people frequent there to check it out, see what post are new and hope that they’re legit. There’s always a 50/50 chance that you’ll encounter spam posts, while other times you actually find something that’s pretty legit.
I have been an avid Craigslist user for more than 5+ years now. I have used it for housing, rooms/shares, cars, jobs, gigs, and free things. Pretty much anything that I may need during certain times in life, I have often found it on craigslist or through a friend. During the search, I always keep a wary eye to make sure it doesn’t sound sketchy, and after acquiring it, hope that the people I’ll eventually be dealing with are sane. There are a lot of unstable and crazy people out there, so kids, if you ever get an offer for a photo shoot or gig that sounds too good to be true, make sure you take an escort with you (especially if they say you can bring one) . You don’t want to end up on the news, do you? I know that I don’t.
With that being said, I have decided to keep a blog of my Craigslist encounters, findings and adventures. I’ve had a lot in the past year, and wish that I had documented them, so this year, I’m all about sharing what has happened to me with you. I do hope that you’re able to feel my experience and maybe even laugh along with me. Life is funny and random, and when you add Craigslist into the mix, it just makes it even better.
Enjoy, because my journey has begun, and still continues to go on.
Cheers!
